<p>A method and switch device for implementing switching are disclosed. The method includes: the location information of the service terminals is obtained; Local switching is triggered according to the location information, the indication information is sent to the access network, and the indication information is used to indicate the access network to perform local switching. Using the embodiments of the present invention to implement the method and switch device for switching, when it is judged that local switching can be triggered, the indicating information is sent to the access network to indicate the access network to perform local switching.
