PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a liquid dye which gives respective color fastnesses better than those dyed/processed with the corresponding powdery dye and also is extremely high in color developability. SOLUTION: The method for producing the liquid dye incoludes the following steps: A powdery dye is admixed with a pH 5-6 mixed liquid followed by conducting a filtration treatment to produce the final transparent and deep-colored liquid dye having 50% of liquid (50 wt.% in dye concentration).
