A washing/drying machine performing the drying operation efficiently while shortening the drying time. The washing/ drying machine is provided with a tank (11) for storing used water, and the water in the tank (11) is circulated and used for dehumidifying the air circulating through a drying air duct (20). Since the water in the tank (11) is circulated, a large quantity of dehumidification water can be supplied with priority given to dehumidification efficiency. The quantity of water being circulated (the quantity of cooling water (dehumidification water)) is decreased relatively in the first half of the drying process, and increased relatively in the second half of the drying process. Consequently, drying efficiency is enhanced during the drying the operation and the drying operation time can be shortened.
