Machine for bending pressure gauge Bourdon tubes - has spring loaded pawls to prevent slipping of tubes during rotation by hydraulic jacks

Bourdon tubes for pressure gauges are bent to shape on a machine with a roller (3) attached to a turntable (7) which can be rotated by hydraulic jacks (9) about a vertical axis. Two tubes (12) supported by guides are clamped against the roller (3) by jaws (2) fixed to a bracket (1). The bracket is moved by an hydraulic jack (10) and exerts pressure on the jaws so that the tubes are pressed against spring loaded pawls (4) which can slide in radial holes in the roller. These pawls reduce the risk of accident when bending the tubes.
