PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a camera capable of confirming focusing within the field of a finder by driving both of a photographing optical system and a double image coincidence type finder optical system based on information concerning a subject distance obtained by a range-finding system. SOLUTION: This camera is provided with a photographing optical system 10 having a focusing mechanism, a range-finding unit 16 and a double image coincidence type finder optical system, and further provided with a shutter button 17 and a focus ring (a dial and a photographing distance input means) 18. The finder optical system is equipped with a principal optical system 20, a field frame optical system 30 and a rangefinder optical system 40 from the right side as facing to the front of the camera. The finer optical system is not operated by the operation of the focusing mechanism (the focusing mechanism and the finder optical system are not mechanically interlocked) but the focusing mechanism and the rangefinder driving mechanism 50 are individually operated according to information related to the subject distance detected by the unit 16. |
