POLYESTER FILM AND ITS PRODUCTION PROCESS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biaxially stretched polyester film which is sufficiently antibacterial with a minimal silver content.

SOLUTION: A polyester film consists of at least two layers with at least one being an antibacterial outer layer A; wherein the antibacterial outer layer (A) contains 0.5-15 wt.% of silver containing zeolite based on the weight of the outer layer (A) (a), has thickness of less than 8μm (b1), and has thickness of not more than 1.3 times the mean particle size d50of zeolite (b2).
