PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain excellent output quality by avoiding the effect of a density inclination generated in a main scan direction in an image forming section during Nup printing. SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus which has a Nup printing mode for performing image formation by arraying image data for a plurality of pages on one paper sheet includes: an operating section for designating the Nup printing mode and a method of arraying image data for the plurality of pages during the Nup printing mode; a control section for processing the image data so as to array the image data for the plurality of pages on the one paper sheet based on the set arraying method when the Nup printing mode is designated in the operating section; and an image forming section for performing image formation on the paper sheet based on the image data, wherein the control section divides the plurality of pages meeting the same condition for image formation into groups in the Nup printing mode and arrays the image data of the same group in the same column among columns along a feeding direction of the paper sheet.
