<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power sliding door for compatibly attaining sure prevention of hold-in on the indoor side and smooth operation. <P>SOLUTION: The power sliding door to be driven by motive power is closed in the state of being fitted into a door opening and opened in the state of running out of the door opening. It includes a position detecting means 802 for detecting the present position of the sliding door, a direction determining means 804 for determining the operating direction of the sliding door in accordance with a change in the present position, a contact sensor 410 for detecting the contact of foreign matters with the inner periphery of the door opening, a position determining means 806 for determining the contact position of the foreign matters in accordance with a detection signal from the contact sensor, and a control means 800 for selecting the operation of the sliding door to be continued, stopped or direction-reversed in accordance with a combination of present position, operating direction and contact position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
