PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the reduction of a color gamut when limiting a total amount of color signals corresponding to color materials. SOLUTION: A color processing apparatus includes: an input means (input part 121) for inputting an input color signal; a determination means (subtraction part 122) for determining an adjustment value S2<SB>K</SB>of a color signal of a black component on the basis of a color signal S1<SB>K</SB>of the black component and a limit value Lim prescribing the total amount of output color signals; a subtraction means (subtraction part 122) for subtracting the adjustment value S2<SB>K</SB>from color signals S1<SB>C</SB>, S1<SB>M</SB>, and S1<SB>Y</SB>of the other color components; an addition means (addition part 124) for adding the adjustment value S2<SB>K</SB>to the color signal S1<SB>K</SB>of the black component; an adjustment means (CMY adjustment part 125) for adjusting color signals S2<SB>C</SB>, S2<SB>M</SB>, and S2<SB>Y</SB>of the other color components on the basis of an adjusted color signal S3<SB>K</SB>of the black component and the limit value Lim; and an output means (output part 126) for outputting the color signal S3<SB>K</SB>of the black component and color signals S3<SB>C</SB>, S3<SB>M</SB>, and S3<SB>Y</SB>of the other color components as an output signal.
