THIN FILM TRANSISTOR AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To equalize charge mobility of each thin film transistor without increasing size of a driving circuit portion in relation to the thin film transistor and a liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: The thin film transistor is constituted such that a semiconductor pattern including a polycrystalline silicon thin film with crystal grains grown on an insulating substrate is formed therein; the semiconductor pattern includes a channel region, source region and a drain region that are located in a both sides of the channel region; a gate insulating film covers the semiconductor pattern; a gate electrode, at least a part of which has the direction intersecting to the crystal grain growing direction, is superposed on the channel region.
