PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a sufficient elevation distance of a motor unit after thinning of a recording medium driving device, and to increase a force as much as possible when a recording medium held by the motor unit is peeled off from the motor unit. SOLUTION: A pickup unit 56 is elevated by a second slider 150 associated with the movement of a first slider 160, and a motor unit 59 is elevated with respect to the pickup unit 56 mainly by a first cam slider 210. The second horizontal part 211c of the cam groove 211 of the first cam slider 210 lowers the motor unit 59 against the rising of the pickup unit 56 during loading of a disk 100. Thus, a height difference between the pickup unit 56 and the motor unit 59 is enlarged. Thus, the force of peeling off the disk 100 from a disk table 62 is increased. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
