The device has a differential piston (6) freely slidably arranged in housing (4) of a pressure transducer (2). A piston side (16) of a primary piston (8) is loaded over a connecting line (18) by pressure fluctuations in a spring chamber of a pneumatic spring. A closed cylinder chamber (10) is attached to a piston side (20) of the primary piston. The piston sides stay in connection with each other by a throttle device, which is operated by the primary piston. A secondary piston (12) sucks and compresses ambient air during operation, and forces down the air into compressed air storage (26).
