When switching is made from D range to N range based on shift lever operation and forward drive range pressure (PD) is discharged from a manual shift valve (81) under a state where a vehicle is stopping or just before stopping and under a forward drive second speed stage where a clutch (C-1) is engaging with a brake (B-1), discharge of oil paths (a5, a6, a7, a8, a9) communicating with a linear solenoid valve (SLB1) is delayed by means of an orifice (71) and a check ball (72) behind discharge of an oil path (a1) communicating with a linear solenoid valve (SLC1). In other words, release of the brake (B-1) is delayed behind release of the clutch (C-1), thus preventing forward drive first speed stage by engagement of a one-way clutch (F-1).
