PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display apparatus capable of performing a threshold voltage correcting operation and a signal potential writing operation stably at a high speed even when a scan period is shortened.

SOLUTION: A sampling transistor T2 performs the threshold voltage correcting operation according to a control signal supplied to a scan line WS when a signal line SL is at a reference potential Vofs, and performs the signal potential write operation according to a control signal supplied to the scan line WS when the signal line SL is at a signal potential Vsig. A write scanner 4 adds scan periods allocated to a plurality of scan lines WS together into a composite scan period including a first period and a second period, and outputs a control signal to the plurality of scan lines WS in the first period when performing the threshold voltage correcting operation and also outputs a control signal to the plurality of scan lines WS in the second period in sequence to perform the signal potential write operation in sequence.
