<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a servo motor that accepts manual operation from outside, even in an electric disconnection or the like. <P>SOLUTION: A servo motor 10 includes a rotary shaft 16, a rotor 26 rotated integrally with the rotary shaft 16, a stator 28 that is separated by a predetermined distance from and disposed confrontingly to the rotor 26, and an angle detecting device 36 that detects an angle of rotation of the rotary shaft 16.
