PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet recording apparatus 100 having an ultraviolet irradiation head 320 having a discharge tube 322. SOLUTION: Solving means include a recording head 310 that reciprocates along the surface of recording paper 150 and discharges ultraviolet curable ink toward the recording paper 150 and a discharge tube 322 that moves together with the recording head 310 and outputs ultraviolet light, and a movable plane reflecting mirror 326 that switches between two light paths through which ultraviolet light from the discharge tube 322 is irradiated in front of and behind the recording head 310 in the reciprocation direction M.
