The unit (20) has an input device (21) to receive a transferred tone sequence (T), and an identifier (N) e.g. telephone number, used for transmission, and a main memory (22) in which a special information unit (I) i.e. web address, is stored. A control unit (24) has a buffer, extracts the information unit from the memory, and stores the identifier, which is transferred together with the sequence, in the buffer. The buffered identifier and extracted unit are transmitted to an output device (23), where the extracted unit is transferred to the buffered identifier by the output device. An independent claim is also included for an information system comprising a central processing unit.
