PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide display equipment which exhibits high waterproofness, visibility and shock resistance in various environments. SOLUTION: The display equipment includes: a liquid crystal device which includes a liquid crystal panel 1 and a surface light source device, both being sandwiched by frames (12, 13 and 14); a transparent protection plate 4 disposed on the front side of the liquid crystal display device via a transparent elastic body 3; an external housing 15 which houses the liquid crystal display device and transparent protection plate 4; and a fixation component 17 for fixing the frames (12, 13 and 14) of the liquid crystal display device and the transparent protection plate 4 together to the external housing 15.
