PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress vibration of a support shaft of a paper feeding roller to prevent noise or abnormal sound in driving a paper feeding device. SOLUTION: The paper feeding device K includes: the paper feeding roller 2; a friction pad 22 holding a paper sheet P carried between a roller face of the paper feeding roller 2 and the pad; and an elastic member 25 urging the friction pad 22 to the roller face. Side plates 26 positioned on both end sides of the support shaft of the paper feeding roller 2, and a restriction member 28 disposed between at least one side plate 26 and the paper feeding roller 2 and abutting on a circumferential face of the support shaft 24 to restrict the movement of the support shaft 24 in an abutment direction, are fixed to a frame constituting the device.
