The invention is oriented to a toy in the fashion of a doll or a stuffed animal which, as such, is equipped with a device for outputting sound effects, particularly for outputting speech and/or animal sounds. The invention is based on the problem of demonstrating solutions which allow toys in the fashion of dolls, animals or fantasy characters to be provided in which particularly the reproduction of speech or sounds and interactions between the toy and a user appear less monotonous in comparison with the previous toys of this kind and can be handled in closer proximity to interaction patterns typical of reality. The invention solves this problem by means of a toy having a toy body in the shape of a doll or a living creature, an audio device for reproducing audio effects, a memory device for providing audio data, a control device for controlling the reproduction of different audio effects on the basis of reading of the audio data, and a sensor device for generating detection signals which, as such, correlate to the approach of an object to the toy, wherein the control device is in a form such that the reproduced audio effects are selected on the basis of an evaluation of the detection signals, and wherein an interface device is provided, by means of which signals which are generated as such by devices which are parts of play accessories can be supplied to that control device, and/or can be provided for access. |
