PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an analog instrument for a vehicle that displays the engine speed of the vehicle, is mounted also to the vehicle where the measurement value of the engine speed varies rapidly, and performs reliable display. SOLUTION: This instrument for the vehicle has a controlling means 6 capable of inputting an ignition signal of the vehicle as a state signal indicating the engine speed. The control means 6 determines whether a measurement value larger than a predetermined value is calculated continuously a predetermined times with respect to the previous display value, calculates the display value based on the measurement value when the measurement value larger than the predetermined value is calculated continuously the predetermined times with respect to the previous display value, and determines the previous display value as the display value when the measurement value larger than the predetermined value is not calculated continuously the predetermined times with respect to the previous display value.
