PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain weight reduction and embodiment of desired damping action to prevent a useless increase of the whole cost. SOLUTION: In a pair of front forks, a clearance between a seat pipe 1 and a wheel side tube T1 of one pressing side front fork is formed as a reservoir R, and a pressing side damping valve V1 is provided in communicating passages B1, B2 formed in a bottom member B serving for communication between the reservoir R and the inside of the seat pipe 1. When a rod 2 descends in the seat pipe 1, an operating fluid in the seat pipe 1 flows out to the reservoir R through the pressing side damping valve V1. In the other extending side front fork, a clearance between a seat pipe 1 and a wheel side tube T1 is formed as a passage L communicating with an extending side oil chamber partitioned by a piston in the seat pipe 1 while being shut off from the upper part of the seat pipe 1, and an extending side damping valve V2 is provided in the passage L and communicating passages B1, B2. An operating fluid flowing out of the extending side oil chamber flows into the seat pipe 1 from the passage L through the extending side damping valve V2. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
