<p>A method and device for transmitting and receiving OAM overhead of Ethernet physical layer are provided. A method for transmitting OAM overhead of Ethernet physical layer includes: adjusting the transmission order of the valid data block and a part of IPG within the data stream to be transmitted (301); when a request for sending OAM overhead is received, replacing the part of IPG with OAM overhead, and sending the OAM overhead before sending the valid data block (302).</p>
