<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging filling device and a method capable of eliminating an inspector's sampling burden and allowing an immediate change of settings to an optimum condition for sealing during operation, by continuously monitoring a surface temperature of a longitudinal seal portion by a preheating means that is a controlled parameter of the longitudinal seal. <P>SOLUTION: The preheating means 8 of the packaging filling device preheats either or both of edges of a belt-like packaging laminate material for the longitudinal sealing. The device has a thermal imaging device 50 opposing a surface of the preheated edge to measure a surface temperature distribution of the surface, and transmitting a measured signal, and a control means 51 for receiving the measured signal, determining the surface temperature of the preheated edge and transmitting a control signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
