摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance fuel consumption by reducing the number of frictional elements idling in a multi-stage shift planetary gear train. <P>SOLUTION: The multi-stage shift planetary gear train includes a first planetary gear set 24 disposed coaxially with a first output shaft 12 and a second planetary gear set 26 disposed coaxially with a second output shaft 14. An input shaft 10 is capable of connecting with a second sun gear 40 and a second ring gear 42 via first gear pairs 52a, 52b, respectively. The first output shaft 12 and the second output shaft 14 are connected with each other via second gear pairs 12a, 14a. The first output shaft 12 is connected with a first ring gear 32 while the second output shaft 14 is connected with a second carrier 48. It is possible to select whether a first carrier 38 is connected with the input shaft 10 or is fixed to a stationary portion according to a first sleeve 64. A first sun gear 30 and the second sun gear 40 are connected with each other via third gear pairs 60a, 60b and at the same time it is possible to select whether they should be connected with the input shaft 10 or fix to the stationary portion according to a second sleeve 70 or a cone clutch 64 (Fig. 3). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
