PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the various physical properties (e.g. setting resistance) and the appearance of an elastomer molded form through improving the processability of a raw material thermoplastic elastomer composition to suppress developing unintended foreign matter or the like and/or increasing the roughness of the elastomer molded form's surface. SOLUTION: The thermoplastic elastomer composition is obtained by compounding a rubber composition, a crystalline olefin resin, a phenolic resin-based crosslinking agent and a flexibilizer followed by kneading to effect dynamic crosslinking. In this thermoplastic elastomer composition, the above rubber composition is such as to be obtained by incorporating 100 phr of EPDM with 50-100 phr of carbon black, 20 phr or more of a flexibilizer and a halogen-based crosslinking catalyst followed by kneading to form a bound rubber. In compliance with the purpose, the kneaded product is compounded with a noncrystalline olefin resin during the above dynamic crosslinking step. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
