<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new prophylactic or therapeutic agent for peptic ulcers. <P>SOLUTION: The prophylactic or therapeutic agent for peptic ulcers includes enzyme modified cheese (EMC), namely, an enzyme modified cheese obtained by fermenting any of various milks such as cow milk, goat milk etc., give cheese and treating the cheese with any of various lipases and proteases as an active ingredient.
