PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an embedded lighting apparatus which can improve luminance of an installed surface. SOLUTION: The embedded lighting apparatus is provided with a lighting apparatus body 1 composing an external frame of the lighting apparatus. On an outer circumference of a bottom end of the lighting apparatus body 1, there is provided an external flange portion 11, and a lower side of the lighting apparatus body 1 is covered with a reflection plate 5 for reflecting irradiating light, and the lighting apparatus body 1 and the reflection plate 5 compose a case 12. The lighting apparatus body 1 is inserted into an embedding hole provided in a ceiling surface 10 and the external flange portion 11 is arranged to abut with the ceiling surface 10 around the embedding hole. At both end portions inside the case 12, there is provided a cold cathode fluorescent lamp 6, over which an inverter 9 is provided for lighting up the cold cathode fluorescent lamp 6. An end portion of the external flange portion 11 in a parallel direction with the ceiling surface 10 is made of acrylic resin 7. Moreover, a reflection plate 8 is provided below the cold cathode fluorescent lamp 6 so that light emitted from the cold cathode fluorescent lamp 6 can be guided to the acrylic resin 7.
