PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-receiving sensor which has a simple and inexpensive configuration and is capable of highly accurately selecting only the light having a specific wavelength to detect the intensity of light. SOLUTION: According to the light-receiving sensor 1, the intensity of light having passed through a wavelength selecting filter 20 is detected by a light-receiving element 10. The light-receiving element 10 contains a light-receiving layer 13 made of a first compound semiconductor material, and the wavelength selecting filter 20 contains a suction layer 23 made of a second compound semiconductor material. The band gap of the wavelength selecting filter 20 is identical with or larger than the band gap of the light-receiving element 10. It is preferable that the first and second compound semiconductor materials be Al<SB>x</SB>Ga<SB>y</SB>In<SB>1-x-y</SB>N or Zn<SB>x</SB>Mg<SB>y</SB>Cd<SB>1-x-y</SB>O. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
