PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retina projection display device which is compact and lightweight, can be mounted on the head of a user for daily use, and allows even a user having such impaired eyesight as severe amblyopia, myopia, or presbyopia to look an image or literal information. SOLUTION: The retina projection display device 1, which utilizes the Maxwellian view to directly project an image on a retina 3 via a pupil 2, comprises: an image data output part 10 which outputs digitalized data; a laser light source part 20 which outputs laser light according to the image data output from the image data output part 10; and an MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical Systems) scanning mirror part 30 which is driven according to the image date output from the image data output part 20 and reflects the laser light output from the laser light source part 20 toward the pupil of the user.
