<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prostacyclin(PGI<SB>2</SB>) production enhancer for vascular endothelial cell, effectively enhancing the production of PGI<SB>2</SB>having blood platelet coagulation activity-inhibitory effect and blood circulation-promoting effect in vascular endothelial cells, and to provide a method for producing a physiologically active fraction having PGI<SB>2</SB>production-enhancing activity for the vascular endothelial cells. <P>SOLUTION: The prostacyclin(PGI<SB>2</SB>) production enhancer for vascular endothelial cell comprises an A-type proanthocyanidine physiologically active component as an active ingredient, wherein the A-type proanthocyanidine physiologically active component is e.g. a physiologically active fraction consisting mainly of an A-type proanthocyanidine oligomer refined and isolated from an A-type proanthocyanidine-containing plant material such as peanut seed coat (astringent coat). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
