<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-plane switching mode liquid crystal display device which controls the liquid crystal polarization phenomenon due to external static electricity and improves display image quality. <P>SOLUTION: This in-plane switching mode liquid crystal display device includes: a first substrate equipped with a first conductive layer and a second conductive layer which are formed on both sides of the first substrate, respectively; a second substrate equipped with a transparent pixel electrode and a transparent common electrode on the side opposite the second conductive layer; and an electric connection part which electrically connects the second conductive layer and the transparent common electrode. A common voltage applied to the transparent common electrode is applied to the second conductive layer through the electric connection part. Accordingly, the display image quality can be improved by effectively preventing static electricity and controlling the whitening phenomenon due to the liquid crystal polarization phenomenon of the liquid crystal layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
