<p>An orthodontic assembly comprises a molar tube, an orthodontic bracket, an arch wire (28) and a ligature device (27). Arch wire slots (3,16) are formed in a mesiodistal direction in the bracket and in the molar tube. At least one additional slot (7,21) is formed in the side wall of the arch wire slot of the bracket and of the molar tube and opens at the arch wire slot. Each additional slot starts from the mesial edge or the distal edge of the side wall of the arch wire slot. An additional slot (10) is formed in the bottom wall of the arch wire slot and opens at the arch wire slot. The intersection angle of the mesial edge of the side wall and the bottom wall of the arch wire slot is an acute angle and the intersection angle of the distal edge of the side wall and the bottom wall of the arch wire slot is an acute angle, which will be an aid for the arch wire to move along the arch wire slot after being ligatured. Different arch wires are used, and different ligature manners are adopted in cooperation, which controls the position of the arch wire in the arch wire slot and the arch wire's movement of in-and-out the additional slots, so that the teeth can be moved slantwise in the mesiodistal direction only under a light force and the root uprighting actions in both buccalingual andmesiodistal direction can be done easily without an additional arch wire.</p> |
