A method and an apparatus for configuring data channel are disclosed to realize I/Q data synchronization between RRU and BBU in baseband remote type base station. The method comprises: determining the number of data channels occupied by a cell according to the carrier on pre-appointed bandwidth based unit BBU to the cell and physical antenna on pre-appointed radio remote unit RRU to the cell; configuring indication information of In-phase/Quadrate data unit CA data on each data channel processed by the appointed BBU on BIU fiber port of BBU interface unit connected with the appointed RRU; configuring carrier index of the CA data on each datachannel processed by the appointed BBU and logic antenna number information used respectively by CA data on each data channel on the appointed BBU; configuring physical antenna number and intermediate frequency number information occupied respectively by CA data on each data channel on the appointed RRU.
