The invention relates to a switching and control device, in particular for locomotives, having a housing which is assembled from two shells; each shell has a base and walls positioned vertically on it, the cavity which is located between the shells contains a printed circuit board and plugs; the printed circuit board is arranged parallel to the base of one of the shells and near to said base. The invention is characterized by the following features: the plugs are mounted on the printed circuit board, and the free ends of the plugs are supported on the base of the other shells so that after the two shells have been joined together the printed circuit board and plugs are secured by clamps between the two shells.
