A battery cooling system of a hybrid electric vehicle is provided to cool the battery efficiently by radiating the heat of the battery to outside through bottom air flow generated in vehicle driving. A battery cooling system of a hybrid electric vehicle comprises: a heat sink plate(21) provided with heat generated in a battery unit(10); a heat pipe module(22) provided with the heat from a heat sink pipe; and a heat radiating plate(29) installed at both ends of the heat pipe module which are downwardly curve-cut; The heat sink plate is installed along the battery unit to be contacted to the lower surface of the battery unit. The heat pipe module is installed along the heat sink plate to be contacted to the lower surface of the heat sink plate. The heat plate is installed in order to be exposed to the vehicle lower part underfloor bottom side.
