The present invention provides an improved method of generating blocks of data and partitioning the data into Columnar format of N rows by M columns. The columnar format is generated by reading data into the format on a row-wise basis and reading data out of the columnar format on a column-wise basis. The interval between consecutively read columns is dynamically negotiated between transmitter and communicatively coupled receiver and greater than one (1). The invention further provides an improved apparatus and system comprising of an interleaver to partition data into the columnar format. The system comprises of one or more omnidirectional antenna(e), responsive to the interleaver, to facilitate transmission of a multicarrier symbol including the interleaved data to a remote device.
