PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcing structure for an aquatic construction, which increases the strength of the aquatic construction which has undergone scouring. SOLUTION: The aquatic construction is constructed such that an existing footing 11 is supported by heads 12b of a plurality of existing piles 12 which each have a distal end 12a hereof driven into a support layer 7, and the ground 8 around the existing footing undergoes scouring 9 by an influence of a stream current. To set up the reinforcing structure of the aquatic construction, an annular underground wall 20 is arranged in the scoured ground 8 on the periphery of the existing footing 11, and an additional footing 21 is added to a peripheral portion of the existing footing, followed by connecting the additional footing in one body to an upper edge of the annular underground wall 20. Further a space inside the annular underground wall and defined by the existing footing, the additional footing, and the scoured ground 8, is filled with a lightweight infill 22.
