<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active matrix display device capable of suppressing brightness irregularity and to provide a method for driving an active matrix display device. <P>SOLUTION: The active matrix display device includes a plurality of video signal lines, a plurality of pixels having a plurality of driving transistors and a plurality of display elements, and a driving part. The driving part sets a voltage between the gate and the source of the driving transistor to a threshold voltage in a first canceling period T2, displacing the gate potential of the driving transistor in a first writing period T3, changing the voltage between the gate and the source of the driving transistor in a second canceling period T4, displacing the gate potential of the driving transistor by a potential degree enough to obtain a gradation level of an image in a second writing period T5, and outputting a driving signal from the driving transistor to the display element in a displaying period T6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
