<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar cell which is superior in productivity and improved in power generation efficiency, and a manufacturing method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The solar cell is characterized in that an electrode film for solar cell comprising a transparent film, a transparent electrode thin film provided thereupon, and metal electrodes provided on the transparent electrode film while leaving a gap is provided on a surface of a silicon-based photoelectric converting element by bonding the metal electrodes and the surface of the photoelectric converting element, and the gap between metal electrodes is charged with a refractive-index matching liquid.
