<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cost for an inflator, securing deploying performance of a head protecting air bag body and a side air bag body. <P>SOLUTION: When a side collision of a vehicle happens, an inflator 16 arranged for a head protecting air bag body 12 and a rear side air bag body 14 on one side of the vehicle is operated to supply gas to the head protecting air bag body 12 and the side air bag body 14. Since the head protecting air bag body 12 and the side air bag body 14 are separately deployed, efficient deployment is possible. Since one inflator 16 is provided for the head protecting air bag body 12 and the side air bag body 14 on one side of the vehicle, cost can be reduced in comparison with a case wherein one inflator is used for either one of air bag bodies. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
