摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device provided with a reflecting mirror capable of effectively utilizing also as a light source for a projector by deforming an inner surface of the reflecting mirror, and capable of preventing breakage of the reflecting mirror when a discharge lamp is burst, and maintaining a shape of the reflecting mirror even when the discharge lamp is turned on in spite of increased light intensity. <P>SOLUTION: An inner surface annular concave part around a tube axis of the discharge lamp is formed on an inner surface of a reflecting part so that a separation distance from the inner surface of the reflecting part to a center between electrodes is larger than a separation distance from an ideal ellipsoid of revolution R to the center between electrodes. An inner surface annular convex part around the tube axis of the discharge lamp is formed on the inner surface of the reflecting part so that the separation distance from the inner surface of the reflecting part to the center between electrodes is smaller than the separation distance from the ideal ellipsoid of revolution R to the center between electrodes. An outer surface annular convex part around the tube axis of the discharge lamp is formed by corresponding to the inner surface annular concave part, and an outer surface annular concave part around the tube axis of the discharge lamp is formed by corresponding to the inner surface annular convex part on an outer surface of the reflecting part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p>
