A tubular circuit element, e.g. a resistor or condenser, is mounted on an insulating plate 1 having eyelets 3 and conductors 2 thereon, by contact clips, each of which is bent from one piece of metal to form a base 9, a wall 11, and inturned wings 12 which grip a terminal 7 of the element 6. The ends 15 of the wings are flared to facilitate entry of the terminals 7, 8 in a direction along the wall 11.
