PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint structure of a precast concrete (hereinafter referred to as PCa) column member, and a method for joining the precast concrete column members for moving the PCa upper column member put on the PCa lower column member in the transverse direction or horizontally. SOLUTION: In this joint structure of the PCa column member, a downward hole 16 passing through from an upper face to a side face of the lower column member 12 is formed in the lower column member 12 formed by PCa, and an upward hole 18 passing through from a lower face to a side face of the upper column member 14 is formed in the upper column member 14 formed of PCa. A joint member 20 is inserted into the downward hole 16 and the upward hole 18 from the side face of the lower column member 12 or the side face of the upper column member 14 to join the lower column member 12 and the upper column member 14 mutually. Consequently, even if the upper column member 14 is put on the lower column member 12, the upper column member 14 put on the lower column member 12 can move in the transverse direction or horizontally until the joint member 20 is inserted into the downward hole 16 and the upward hole 18 from the side face of the lower column member 12 or the side face of the upper column member 14.
