PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stencil printer which avoids wastefulness by the excessive use of a master, and at the same time, has no trouble of the requirement for the cleaning or replacing of parts, has no fear for wear by a contact between members, and suppresses an afterimage phenomenon. SOLUTION: In a vicinity of a printing drum 8, an air discharging means 15 which discharges air to the surface of the printing drum 8 is installed. A left-alone period of time since a printing completion signal has been emitted is measured by a time counting means which is not shown in figure. After the execution of a plate discharging process by a plate discharging means 18 and prior to the winding process of the master the plate of which has already been manufactured, air is discharged by the air discharging means 15 while the printing drum 8 is rotated, so that an ink viscosity on the printing drum 8 is equalized. The rotation number of the printing drum 8 under the air discharged state is set by selecting the optimal value depending on the left-alone period of time. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
