PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaner including a UV unit for radiating UV rays without generating flow passage resistance with respect to the flowing-in air and preventing the leak of the UV rays to an outer part. SOLUTION: The air cleaner comprises filters 4, 5 and the UV unit 8 in an air passage which connects a suction port 1 and a blow-out port 2; and a blowing fan 6 for blowing out the cleaned air from the blow-out port 2. The UV unit 8 includes a case 8a having a flow-in port, a flow-out port, and a ventilation passage which connects the flow-in port and the flow-out port; an UV lamp 9 which is arranged to be separated from the ventilation passage in the neighborhood of a side part in the case 8a; and a UV-permeable member 11 where a plurality of cells for guiding the UV rays are successively arranged so as to cross with the air which flows in the ventilation passage.
