<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double-plenum manifold obtained by assembling only two portions and capable of drastically reducing manufacturing cost and increasing mechanical strength, sealing performance and reliability. <P>SOLUTION: This double-plenum or double-chamber intake manifold or splitter is made up of a structural unit comprising two distinct coupled plenums 2, 2' with a common wall 3, an intake opening for each of the two plenums 2, 2' and several pipes 5, 5' through each of the plenums 2, 2'. The superimposed plenums 2, 2' have substantially flattened general structures and forming, with their respectively connected intake openings and pipes. Two independent circulation circuits run from the entrance at the intake openings to the outlet at the external openings of the pipes 5, 5', and the external or outlet openings of the pipes 5, 5' are grouped in pairs, with each pair having an opening of each of the two types of pipes 5, 5'.
