PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a TiAl-based alloy which is superior in hot workability and specific strength, and is inexpensive. SOLUTION: The TiAl-based alloy includes 30 to 45 mol% Al, 0.1 to 10 mol% Fe and the balance Ti with unavoidable impurities. The TiAl-based alloy further preferably contains at least one element among V, Cr and Mn in a total amount of 0.5 mol% to 5.0 mol%. In addition, the TiAl-based alloy further preferably contains at least one element among Nb, Mo, Ta and W in a total amount of 0.5 mol% to 5.0 mol%. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
