<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device capable of accurately detecting a motor driving current while suppressing variation of steering performance caused by temperature variation of a switching element of a motor drive circuit. <P>SOLUTION: A current instruction value is calculated based on at least steering torque T, and an electric motor 12 is driven/controlled based on the current instruction value and the motor current detection values Iu-Iw. The motor current detection values Iu-Iw are calculated based on a FET part voltage descending value Vdeff of the motor drive circuit 24 and ON-resistance Ron of FET calculated with reference to ON-resistance temperature characteristic memorized in a memory device based on the FET temperature Tj.
