The racquet has a head area for receiving a covering that defines a covering level, and a handle section for holding the racquet. A heart area has a bridge swivelably and rotatably supported at arms (5, 6) of the heart area along an axis running perpendicular to the covering level. The bridge comprises two side pieces (10, 11) that are movably supported at the arms, and are connected together via a joint (20). The bridge has a convex shape such as V-shape or U-shape with respect to the handle section. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a racquet.
